04 Apr Development Education Showcase – Rockwell 2019
At our annual Development Education Showcase in Rockwell College, Spiritan school students and teachers came together to further explore their efforts on sustainability through the lens of the Sustainable Development Goals. Each Spiritan school presented some of its year-long school projects by video. Students and teachers participated in workshops and enjoyed a presentation from Fergal Quinn from Moy Hill Community Farm. After lunch, the students came together to make a joint declaration on sustainability. The Joint Declaration states; The Spiritan School Network (students, teachers and the extended community) will work towards sustainability in their schools, both locally and globally through their actions. The day concluded with each school receiving a Spiritan School Flag for their commitment to sustainability.
As a school community, we look forward to supporting this declaration as we go forward together. This programme was partly funded by WorldWise Global schools.
