21 Dec New Position – Principal Blackrock College
Following 22 years of exceptional leadership as Principal of Blackrock College, Dublin, Mr Alan MacGinty will retire in July 2023. The College is now seeking to appoint a new Principal.
Blackrock College, founded in 1860 is one of Ireland’s oldest and most successful Catholic Secondary schools. It is a fee-paying day and Boarding school with a current enrolment of 1200 students. Over its long history the college alumni have had a major contribution to Ireland and overseas.
The successful candidate will report to the Chairperson of the Board of Management. As Principal you will be fully committed to the active Leadership of the Spiritual life and Catholic ethos of the College and will lead, manage, develop, evaluate and co-ordinate all academic, pastoral and sporting aspects of school life. You will also manage the usual administrative functions and provide institutional leadership to the academic and support staff.
You will lead a dynamic, evolving organisation, will inspire and lead the committed and excellent teaching staff and will display a passion for achievement and engage with students, alumni, parents and the Spiritan Community in their vision for the College.
